Abstract: In this study, it has been tried to detect an image in which there is a face without face to face angle using skin-color and YCbCr color system.To precisely investigate whetheror not the area selected by skin-color is related to face, eyes are found using horizontal derivative and mouth are found using vertical derivative methods.The current study can considerably contribute to improve the process of work in face detection as well as in biometric science.This method was tested on 500 color photographs of images of personnel faces in two collected image databases and images of average female and male face (University Regensburg, Germany) that the accuracy of detecting face, eyes and mouth were 99%, 98% and 97% and the time complexity of the algorithm was 40seconds which can be very useful for non-runtime systems.
