Abstract: This research surveys semantic, syntactic and pragmatics characteristics of subject-subject causative construction in Azeri Turkish from Role and Reference Grammar point of view. In this view causative construction is part of language universalities and can be appeared in different ways in a language. Van Valin put causative constructions in languages in two groups: causative [1]: the bringing about of one state of affairs directly by another state of affairs, usually an event or action and causative [2]: the bringing about of one state of affairs through a distinct action or event .He believes that in this kind of classification causative construction of all languages can be explained. So, analysis of Azeri Turkish causative constructions (simple and complex) and classifying them according to this framework can confirm or reject his claim. This descriptive –analytic research used Van Valin's theory about causative construction .The most important results of those survey showed the existence of van Valin‟s classification in this language and also, there are specific relationships between semantic, syntactic and pragmatics characteristics of subject-subject causatives and Inter-clausal semantic relation.
