Abstract: [Full text in Persian] Today information is one of the important source of power in organization, thus information, particularly information that seems to have a central role or strategy in organizations, can be used to build a power base and also to influence in the organizations. In this study the relationship between information technology and employee empowerment from the perspective of the workers of the modernization of schools in Khuzestan province is investigated. Accordingly, first the use of Information Technology (IT) in the organization examined, then after ensuring on its application, its effects on employees empowerment are investigate. For this purpose, first indicators related to the empowerment including indicators of the empowerment of the quality and performance with F Fisher 2.676, and a significant level 0.000, indicator of knowledge with F Fisher 9.046, and significant level of 0.000, the indicator of the increase of job opportunities with F Fisher 10.545 and the level of significance of 0.000, the index of independence and freedom with F Fisher 6.388 and the significant level 0.000, the index of the responsibility for making decisions with F Fisher and significant level 0.002, the index of self-controlling with F Fisher 10.487 and significant level 0.000, the index of the professional development of the staff with F Fisher 5.345 and significant level 0.000 detected and in this investigation of hypothesis, their relationship with IT which in all cases there is a significant relationship between the indicators of empowerment and IT has been investigated, finally there is a significant relationship between the use of IT and empowering employees with F Fisher 15.145 and the significant level 0.000.
